Graziano Senesi, passion and professionalism
Graziano Senesi, known as Gracho Mua, was born in Pisa on February 15 1977, the same day and the same city in which justover four centuries earlier Galileo Galilei, a man of thought, famous for the courage of his ideas, came into the world.
A common feature, which led Graziano to develop his own point of view on the world and in beauty over the course of his life.
The path in make-up begins by chance in Milan where, having moved in 1996, he attended the faculty of Industrial Design at the Polytechnic.
A university that soon turns out not to be Graziano's real desire, introduced to the world of make-up by a famous make-up artist, his roommate.
Graziano soon began to work alongside him in his works: first by simply accompanying him, then by becoming his real assistant.
The young make-up artist thus comes into contact with a new, shimmering world, made up of big names and famous people who rely on the expert
hands of his mentor, and then more and more often, on his.
The passion for the job grows more and more and with this also the desire to improve, to learn from the great Italian make-up artists: here then Graziano begins to deepen the study of corrective makeup and, above all, to attend the courses of the best teachers in the sector , of the caliber of Stefano Anselmo and Francesco Guerra. From them he learns not only the technique, but also the approach to the world of work, growing with the humility that has always distinguished him.
We still have to wait a while before Graziano makes a meeting that will change his life and his way of seeing make-up forever.
One morning, in the years in which - parallel to her activity as a freelance make-up artist - she works in perfumery as a sales consultant, a woman approaches her face with her face permanently damaged by an illness and treatment. For some time he has been unable to observe himself in the mirror, not recognizing his image. Graziano puts on her makeup and, as if by magic, returns her smile and self-esteem, to the emotion of both.
From that moment, make-up takes on a new role for Gracho: he learns the useful side, recognizes that make-up can represent a tool to restore dignity and trust to people, not just a decorative accessory.
In the following years he found himself working for a period, in a store with a make up station in the shop window. One day he receives an anonymous phone call: he is the Dior recruiter who proposes him to work for the prestigious French brand, having seen how he masters the job.
Graziano's ascent into the world of high fashion begins, where he becomes one of Dior's reference makeup artists on the Italian scene. He deals with large projects, advertising campaigns, product launches, photo shoots, fashion shows. And in the days when he is not busy behind the scenes, he occupies the Dior corner of Milan's Rinascente, where he meets thousands of people from all over the world every day. A way to continue learning, exercising technique and products on skin tones and features of all kinds.
In 2018 a great proposal arrives: the MUD - Make- Up Designory, an American school of the highest level born over 20 years ago with 60 locations around the world including in Italy in Milan and Rome, offers him a place as a teacher. The academy's standards are high and range in every sector of the sector: Graziano, once again, gets involved in the first person.
The attendance of a Master in image consultancy held by an internationally renowned expert allows him to become a complete professional, capable of offering a 360 ° service to the customer, from makeup, to hairstyles, to advice on fashion and accessories .
The satisfactions do not end: Afro Fashion Week Milan - an association that organizes fashion shows featuring African stylists - proposes him the Key Artist role for the next editions: a prominent figure, fundamental in the success of the event.
It is not known what the future will still hold for Graziano, but one thing is certain: he will not stop growing and evolving as a professional and as a person.
